There’s An Exact Science To Perfecting Your Lash Game

It sounds a little excessive!

Cathy Donohue

Mascara is a makeup product that’s often cited as a must-have.

It immediately opens up your eyes and if you’re wrecked tired, it immediately makes you look more awake.

Now usually we just put on a couple of coats before rushing out the door but according to one expert, it’s more complicated than that.

In a step by step tutorial  featured on The Beauty Department, makeup artist Amy Nadine says that you need to put on 30 coats of mascara to get perfect lashes.

This might sound a little excessive (we’re only used to two) but Amy says that a few quick coats won’t “pay off”.

The makeup artist recommends applying your mascara the usual way and checking the end result in the mirror.

Then, switch it up, and give Amy’s advice a try by applying “30 quick strokes per eye”.

“Quick brisk strokes” are key and apparently, you’ll notice a major difference (and we imagine your arm might get a little tired).

While it might be a little much for day to day wear, we’re definitely giving it a go for an evening makeup look.
