Cosmopolitan, 'braided balayage' is where you braid your hair into bunches before dying it.
In an Instagram clip, posted by Lebanese hair salon Mounir, the hair is plaited along a wire with underneath sections left hanging down.
Another important step is pinning the hair up before the bleach is applied to ensure a subtle tonal balayage effect.
It looks a lot more complicated than regular balayage but it's a new way to approach an old technique and we're definitely intrigued!
