There’s a new type of balayage and it’s Instagram perfection

Rose gold balayage is now a thing.

Balayage is far from a new trend but say hello to pastelage, the hair colour that’s dominating our social media feeds at present.

If you’re looking to lighten your locks but keep things natural too, balayage is your best friend, but pastelage is a must for ladies who love some rose gold in their lives.

This trend is achieved by applying a combination of pastel tones to the hair and to get the best possible results, you’ll want a colourist who knows their balayage/pastelage inside out.

There are lots of options, you can go full on pink or just opt for a dusty rose hue, light at the roots or heavy if you want to really make an impact.

Just LOOK.

Commenting on the trend, L’Oreal Professionnel Colour Ambassador Jack Howard said:

“We are seeing more and more women come into the salon asking for more vibrant and colorful shades; and with the new #COLORFULHAIR range you can easily incorporate pastel tones through the lengths of the hair. It is semi-permanent so is a low commitment option that appeals to all ages”.

One of our favourite things about the trend is the fact that you don’t have to sign up to six months of pastel hair for pastelage only lasts between three and twelve shampoos.

Check out the below Instagram posts to see pastelage in action…dreamy!
