This Everyday Spice Apparently Reduces Unwanted Hair Growth

Cassie Delaney

Sure look, the reality of being a woman is that sometimes little hairs appear in places we would rather they not.

And while we can wax, shave or get laser, we’re still always looking for more innovative (cheaper) ways to remove those pesky whiskers.

It turns out there’s an everyday household ingredient that helps reduce hair growth.

Turmeric has long been hailed as a natural beauty remedy and apparently when mixed with some other everyday ingredients, it can be used as a natural hair growth reducer.

A method listed on Homeremediesforlife.com says to mix Turmeric with rosewater or milk and warm water.

They write:

“Add rosewater, plain water, or milk to turmeric powder and stir to make a fine paste. Apply to unwanted hair and leave on for 15-30 minutes or until dry.”

Then wash the mixture off with warm water. Using the home remedy repeatedly over time will drastically reduce the growth of light hairs.

To remove thicker, denser hair, the method suggests adding yogurt, rice flour, or ground oats.

A paste can also be made with turmeric and sesame oil and will produce similar results.
