This Irish tattoo artist is about to become your new Instagram OBSESSION
What a TALENT!
So, every now and then I stumble upon something that I fall madly in love with.
Buse Kanlikilic's Instagram is my most recent obsession - and for good reason.
A true artist to her toes, with so many amazing skills, it was Buse's tattoo work I really fell for.
Intricate designs, beautiful line work and the most dainty and gorgeous tattoos I've ever seen.
And so, naturally, I reached out to the woman herself, so find out more about her.
Originally from Istanbul, Buse describes herself as "a multidisciplinary artist" who has drawn all her life.
"When I was studying for my BA Painting degree in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, I got first tattoo and fell in love with the process."
She was encouraged by tattoo artist Emrah Ozhan, and so decided to start practicing tattooing seriously.
And THANK GOD she did, because she is amazing lads.
"After practicing on tons of bananas and fake skins, it was time to offer free tattoos to my friends and that's how my path in tattooing slowly started to shape."
Buse went on to explain how she ended up in dear old Dublin:
"Three years ago, I decided to move to Dublin to do a Masters degree in Fine Arts in NCAD."
"The course definitely helped me to grow my painting and design practice in different ways."
After her NCAD degree, Buse started doing big scale murals and installations that are based on sacred geometry, nature, botanicals, and Islamic patterns.
"Nature is the primary inspiration for my art and tattoos."
"I love tattooing all kinds of plants, floral patterns and the combination of geometrical and organic designs."
At the moment, Buse also works from a home studio, which is great for clients who want that extra bit of privacy.
What makes Buse's work extra special is that she always designs her tattoos in her personal style.
"I collaborate with people's ideas. This makes every creation unique for each client."
If you fancy getting a special piece of art inked on your body, head to Buse's website.
You won't regret it.
