In a video post on her website, the model explained how the lemon juice and egg white mix has helped combat her acne. It's important to note that while the mask can help to prevent blemishes, it's not as effective at treating any spots you might have at the time of application. In conversation with Refinery 29, she explained the benefits:

"When something with a low pH is applied to the skin, in this case, lemon juice, it can dissolve and digest surface dead cells, which prevents oil and bacteria from getting trapped under the pores".

Renée also stressed the importance of doing a patch test if you have sensitive skin. She recommends applying the mask to a small area of skin and waiting 24 hours to see if the skin reacts in a negative manner. If there's no burning/redness/irritation, you should be able to proceed.
