The teenager decided to make the impromptu visit to her older brother's Los Angeles mansion after watching her father receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday.
Harper attended the event with her parents, David and Victoria, and brothers Romeo and Cruz. Afterwards, she left her family and was driven five-miles by a chauffeur to Brooklyn's mansion that he shares with his wife Nicola Peltz, hoping she would meet him face-to-face for the first time in over 18 months.
However, she was left heartbroken when there was no answer at the gates.
The couple were reportedly 'out of town' when Harper visited, according to sources close to the family. Brooklyn and Nicola decided to stay on the East Coast of the United States after Brooklyn had spoken at the Tribeca festival in New York last week.
However, since information about Harper's failed visit was made public, representatives for the couple have questioned how paparazzi were "strategically outside their home" at the time of Brooklyn's sister's arrival.
"[The fact] that photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all - this was choreographed for the cameras," representatives told The Daily Mail.
Friends of Victoria and David Beckham have responded to this, saying that Harper just "desperately misses" her brother.
"It is incredibly sad that this horrible accusation is being levelled at an innocent young girl who just desperately misses her brother," they said to The Daily Mail.
"Nothing needed to be said at all, so to invent this nasty accusation is really unnecessary."
