You might think that your festive season beauty regime isn’t all that different from your usual preening sessions but Debenhams have found that the average woman spends up to an hour a day putting on her face over the festive season, compared to just 20 minutes on a normal day.

Pulling out all the stops, we trowel on the false eyelashes, glitter, smoky shadow and anything else suitably sparkly that we can find which eats into our actual party time and the survey also found that we use on average 12 more products than usual!

We say stick to your usual regime to avoid any make-up mishaps before a big night out

Commenting on the survey, Sara Stern, Beauty Trading Director at Debenhams said: “Even women who don’t normally wear makeup are getting into the festive spirit by embracing glitter eyeshadows and false lashes to impress at the Christmas party.”
