Twiggy has been named as a brand ambassador for L’Oréal Professionnel.

The 65-year-old was one of the world’s first supermodels and appeared on the front cover of fashion bible Vogue during the 1960s.

Having recently fronted campaigns for Olay and M&S, this  is her latest venture.

The mother-of-one said: “I am absolutely delighted to become a L’Oréal Professionnel brand ambassador, I truly believe in the skill of the professional hairdresser and am so proud to represent the brand”.

“My hair has always been important to me and has been a big part of my image throughout the years. I hope to inspire women to be confident in their personal style and never be afraid of trying something new”.

Cass Coulton, general manager at L’Oréal Professionnel UK, talked about Twiggy’s timeless beauty: ”What is there not to love about Twiggy – she has always inspired women to look and feel their best”.

Last year, the brand introduced Helen Mirren (69) as a brand ambassador and Jane Fonda (77) has also featured in a number of their campaigns.
