We never knew that Alicia Silverstone owned this beauty brand

Fans of Clueless will know that Alicia Silverstone was cast to play the loveable but slightly, well, clueless, Cher Horowitz. Cher is good-natured but superficial and as it turns out, the complete opposite of star Alicia.

According to Hello Giggles, Alicia is not only a hardcore vegan and environmental activist but she’s also the founder of EcoTools.

The brand is probably best-known for its brushes which are available in Superdrug and Boots.

The brushes are made from bamboo and cotton. The website explains:

“Our cosmetic brushes are beautiful and show respect for the earth. They are packaged in reusable cosmetic cases that are printed on 100% tree-free paper made from 80% bamboo and 20% cotton fiber.”

They are manufactured with a desire to make earth-conscious choices.

And if that wasn’t cool enough, they also partner with The Girl Project, a non-profit initiative created by Glamour magazine to support girls’ education throughout the United States and around the globe.

The brand has recently launched a new line of hairbrushes which expedite the drying process, and finish your styling up to 40% faster.

They write:

“Quicker dry time means less heat damage and reduced electricity use for an even more earth-conscious morning routine.”

We want them all.
