We put this new ‘good-for-skin’ concealer to the 16-hour test

A new makeup must-have.

Having been converted to Bare Minerals Foundation last year (it covered two unsightly blemishes and stayed in place for a full night out), I was a tad excited about the Bare Pro Concealer launch.

It’s the newest member of the Bare Minerals family and follows the same kind to skin ethos as the other products, ideal if your skin is at all sensitive.

What really interested me is the fact that it promises 16-hour coverage, due to Mineral Lock Long Wear Technology, which is no mean feat for any base product.

I put it on first thing in the morning and by the time I got home in the evening, a full eleven hours later, it needed a little retouching around the chin but the under-eye area was still perfect.

Concealer is a personal beauty essential as it caters to so many beauty woes including under-eye circles, blemishes, scarring and pigmentation.

The new ‘good for skin’ formula contains antioxidant-rich raspberry seed oil, blackcurrant seed oil and sea lavender to nourish, hydrate and help defend against free radical damage.

It comes in ten shades, is priced at €26 and is designed to be applied after liquid foundation and before powder foundation.

On first impressions, I’m suitably impressed but will give it a couple more outings before I decide if it deserves a forever home in my makeup bag.
