We’re all making the same mistake with our Beautyblenders

Oops.

Cathy Donohue

Chances are you didn’t know about this one.

You may have been told using your BeautyBlender wet is the way forward but there’s also another important trick.

When the sponge is wet, it’s a lot easier to achieve the dewy skin we all want, not to mention the fact that it’s the key to the perfect base (minus nasty streaks).

So, while your sponge might be moist at the beginning (I know, I detest that word too but it’s applicable in this situation) it doesn’t always stay that way.

A handy solution to this problem, and it’s one top MUA’s swear by, is keeping a glass of water so you can dip your blender when it gets too dry.

So simple but SO effective.

In conversation with Pop Sugar, Rea Ann, the brains behind BeautyBlender explained why a damp sponge is key.

“The best way to use the Beautyblender is when it is activated and damp and completely wet”.

It’s an extra thing to remember when applying your makeup but hey, it’s worth it for a flawless foundation finish.
