"It's important to be educated on the right heat setting for your hair. For example, if you have thick hair, you'll want to use a higher heat setting than someone with thin or fine hair. Adjusting the heat setting to your hair type will ensure that your curls hold".Sarah points out that if the temperature of the appliance is 'inconsistent', the style simply won't last and while it might sound simple, it's a tip we've overlooked until now. The stylist, who has a wealth of experience, also recommends prepping your hair beforehand with the right products to give your curls the best chance of lasting. Grab some mousse and heat protectant and to further ensure that your curls last as long as possible, use tongs with a smaller barrel size. The smaller the barrel size, the longer they will last. Instead, wait until your curls have cooled and then spray a hairbrush with some hairspray before brushing through lightly.
