So, what’s the deal with tanning water? Can you apply it like a regular fake tan?

Does it really work?

Tanning water.

Tbh, it kinda puts the fear of God in us as we can’t actually see what’s going on our skin. Right? Those are our assumptions, anyway.

However, looking a little more into it, and finding out what Jules Von Hep, tanning guru and founder of new tanning brand Isle of Paradise, has to say has switched our stance on the beauty product.

Jules told Stylist: “Tanning waters are the most hydrating tan possible, we are quite literally giving our skin a drink.”

So, much better than a mousse or lotion, which can sometimes dry out our skin and make it patchy.

And as for applying tanning water? It’s pretty much the same as applying any other tanning product – as in you DO have to shave/wax 24 hours prior and exfoliate if you want an even glow.

“Shave or wax at least 24 hours prior to application and ensure skin is exfoliated with a dry brush or scrub. This means your skin will have an even surface, so the final result will be even and, more importantly, it will fade evenly like a natural tan would.

“Your skin should be saturated once finished. Once applied take an applicator mitt and sweep the product all over the skin to blend, remembering to do under the arms and all over your legs.”

So, there you have it. We’re all for trying tanning water for our next night out now.

Side note: The Isle of Paradise tan Instagram account is full of body positivity, and we’re loving the way the brand advertises its products.
