The top book adaptations coming to our screens very soon

We’ve picked out some of the most promising upcoming screen versions of our favourite books that you should keep an eye out for.

Off Campus - May 13th

Following the global success of Heated Rivalry, Prime Video brings a new hockey-themed romance for the world to obsess over. Season one of Off Campus will be released May 13th, following the story of Elle Kennedy’s bestselling novel The Deal. Starring Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli, Off Campus is a college-set romantic drama series following an unexpected love story between a young musician and the university’s leading hockey player. Off Campus hosts a large cast of characters, and follows their navigation of life, love and friendships in college. Off Campus will be available on Prime Video and has already been renewed for a second season.

Every Year After - June 10th

Adapted from the bestselling beach read Every Summer After by Carley Fortune, Every Year After is expected to be one of the hit shows of this summer. Sadie Soverall and Matt Cornett play lead characters Percy and Sam, who are the centre of this romantic comedy series. Percy and Sam were inseparable for six years, spending every summer together in Barry's Bay, until one summer when everything changed. Now in the present day, Percy must return to the lake after a tragedy strikes. The show follows an alternate timeline of Percy in both the present day and the six summers spent with Sam. All eight episodes will be available on Prime Video on June 10th.

Verity - October 2nd

Coming later in the year, and following the box office successes of It Ends With Us and Reminders of Him, another Colleen Hoover story graces our screens with an adaptation of her bestseller, Verity. Starring Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett, the psychological romantic thriller will be released in theatres on October 2nd. The plot follows Lowen Ashleigh, a ghostwriter hired to produce novels for Verity Crawford, a bestselling author unable to write after an accident. However, all is not what it seems in the Crawford house, as Lowen begins to uncover hidden truths about Verity and her husband.

The Love Hypothesis - 2026

A film adaptation of Ali Hazelwood’s iconic STEM romance novel will be coming to Prime Video in 2026. Starring Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman, The Love Hypothesis follows PHD student Olive Smith, as a crisis lands her in a fake relationship with renowned professor Adam Carlson. No official release date has been confirmed, but the romantic comedy has been teased for a 2026 release by lead Lili Reinhart.

Guarding Stars - 2026

Based on Katherine Center’s bestselling novel The Bodyguard, Guarding Stars will be coming to Netflix in 2026. Leighton Meester and Jared Padalecki will star in this holiday romantic comedy. The film follows a skilled bodyguard assigned to protect a movie star from his stalker, while also posing as his girlfriend to keep the threat hidden from his family. No release date has been confirmed by Netflix, but a 2026 release is expected.
