Released in April the book quickly became a Sunday Times bestseller and has received rave reviews from critics and readers.

The novel follows a modern tradwife influencer, Natalie Mills, who has a perfect life on Instagram, but her world is flipped upside down when she wakes up one day in 1805, without the perfectly curated life she once had.

Ahead of its release, Amazon MGM Studios confirmed it's working on a feature adaption of the novel.

The studio reportedly won a major bidding war that involved three other studios, and actress Anne Hathaway is set to star and produce the film.

Fans who have read Yesteryear have given it an average of 4.5 stars on Amazon, with one saying 'I could not recommend this book more'.

"Burke captures the complexity of modern day woman hood, and explores the ugly and humour filled side of the tradwife and just how and why it triggers us in all the wrong/right places," they added.
