Amazon is set to join the music streaming business, with rumours of it launching a music site this year.

The new music service will be available to subscribers of Amazon Prime – a paid shopping membership option for video that competes with Netflix.

Although independent music labels, Sony Music and Warner Music Group are believed to have signed on to license their music, Universal Music has yet to agree to a deal with the service.
