Facebook Is Introducing TONS Of New Live Video Features

Ellen Tannam

Facebook is making some big changes.

Facebook are going to be launching live video streaming to all users, allowing any Facebook account holder to livestream footage directly into their Newsfeed.

It’s going to be a very interactive feature, with reactions like on a normal status (aka Love, Haha, Wow, Sad or Angry) and the reactions animate right on top of the video.

When your friend reacts to your video or the video you are both watching together you’ll see their profile picture and a tiny starburst will pop up. Cute.

According to Facebook, people are really enjoying the live video feature and are much more likely to comment and interact with a video if it’s live, as they feel in on the action.

They are also going to be introducing a series of Live filters similar to Snapchat, but you’ll be able to doodle and write on your video in real time which is pretty cool.

You can also invite a friend to watch a Live video with you directly from the clip itself by simply tapping on the invite icon which results in them receiving a push notification.

Facebook are even introducing a special feature where you can search through all their live content in one place, and filter it to content you’re interested in.

This sounds like it’s going to change how we use the world’s biggest social network for good.
