Irish Grammar App Helps Students and Teachers Brush Up On Their Gaeilge With Ease

The Leaving Cert and Junior Cert is just around the corner and for those who need to do a quick brush up on their Gaeilge, this could be the app for you.

Developed from secondary school teacher Áine McGillycuddy, Irish Grammar App – Gramadach na Gaeilge aims to help students, enthusiasts and even Irish teachers make the most of the Irish language.

Described as the “must-have app for Leaving and Junior Cert students”, the app has an interactive element that gives the user immediate feedback.

Featuring a quiz aspect and 1000 grammar exercises, users received an explanation of their answers and each topic has its own section, covering:

  • The past tense
  • The present tense
  • The future tense
  • The conditional tense
  • Numbers
  • Possessive adjective
  • Lenition & Eclipsis
  • Irregular verbs
  • The Copula
  • Prepositions
  • Useful phrases

“I’m passionate about providing lifelong learning for all students to a high standard” says Áine.

Áine has been teaching Irish and Business to honours classes from 1st to 6th year, along with providing one to one tuition and earning a B.A in Gaeilge and Economics, a Higher Diploma in Education and a Masters in Education, all from UCD.

Priced at €3.59, the new app is available on iTunes and will be available on Android on May 28th.
