With the second year of the AIB Start-Up Academy well underway, this week we stopped off in Limerick to meet the budding entrepreneurs and future business elite of Ireland.

Leading the speeches on the night was our very own Her.ie and JOE.ie CEO Niall McGarry, who shared his experience and expertise from start-up to managing one of the fastest growing media group in Ireland.

The AIB Startup Academy hosted by the Irish Times & AIB took place in Limerick.

Guests were also given the opportunity to network with Shane McAllister, Founder and CEO of text to speech software firm MobaNode, building apps for clients in the corporate and enterprise app space.

Other speakers on the night included three pitchers: Bernie Kinsella of Worldbox discussing her shipping company, Hannah Wrixon of Last Minute Minders talking through her childcare solutions company and emerging fashion designer Natalie King of Natalie King Design, all vying for a spot in the AIB Start-Up Academy.

The next start-up event takes place in Letterkenny followed by Athlone and you can register and find out more about the AIB Start Up Academy here .
