Sure look, we’re all prone to a bit of sly texting in work.
But in a big corporate environment it can be really tricky to get away with it. Well, fret not, thanks to the great people at WhatsApp you can now text freely from your desktop.
We know there was WhatsApp Web before this but that was tricky and loud and could be easily detected.
Now there’s a desktop app for Mac and PC that neatly alerts you to incoming messages. The messaging window can be discretely minimised and hidden away from the wandering eyes of managers and supervisors.
Like WhatsApp Web it can be activated by scanning a QR code on your phone and automatically loads in all your conversations.
“Like WhatsApp Web, our desktop app is simply an extension of your phone: the app mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device,” WhatsApp said.
The desktop app is available for Windows 8+ and Mac OS 10.9+ devices.
