'You better be 16!'
Matty Healy has been labelled 'creepy' and 'unsettling' after he carried out an 'age check' on a fan before deciding to kiss them.
The 33-year-old singer had been performing in Minneapolis, US, last week as a part of The 1975's tour when he noticed a sign from a fan asking for him to be her "first kiss."
TikTok user Iwani shared a clip on the social media platform of the moment that Healy stops mid-show to make the fan's dream come true.
But before doing so, he can be seen checking the woman's ID as it's held by one of the security staff.
A separate clip shows the 1975 frontman telling her: "You better now be f***ing 16."
She then tells him she has the identification to prove she's 22 years old.
Following the age check, he jumps off the stage towards the fan and asks: "Are you ready? Are you ready for your first kiss?"
After an enthusiastic 'yes', he duly obliges.
But some were left unsettled by the whole interaction, and called out Healy for the kiss.
"If you need to ID someone before kissing them then don't kiss them," wrote one Twitter user.
Another said: "How old are they? When I was younger this was a dream for sure, and I'm happy for them, but at this point the ethics of this situation scares me"
A third added: "I've never been to a single concert where someone in the band comes down and makes out with a random audience member and I've been to over 100 different shows (including Gwar where they spill blood on everyone).
