This week it was confirmed that the winter season was the wettest ever recorded in Ireland, (surprise, surprise).
The harsh, and at times treacherous, weather conditions affected many homes in almost every inch of the country.
Folk down in the Kingdom received a particularly rough time during recent storms and so the lovely folk at Radio Kerry thought they would touch base with their listeners affected by power cuts, particularly the ones that were left without Internet and phone services.
It was how the lads at Radio Kerry sought to get in touch with these people that amused us greatly.
Earlier today the following update appeared on the station’s Facebook page and Twitter account.
