Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus is now cancer-free

“Today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed.”

Mark Hoppus, the bassist and drummer from Blink-182 has told fans that he is now cancer-free after undergoing chemotherapy.

Earlier this summer, the musician told fans that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.

Hoppus had been open about his health, and had been sharing updates with fans on social media over the past few months.

In a message posted on Instagram and Twitter, Hoppus shared the good news, and thanked his fans for sending him support.

He said: “Just saw my oncologist and I’m cancer-free!! Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support kindness and love.”

Hoppus continued: “Still have to get scanned every six months and it’ll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed.”

He added: “Can I get a W in the chat?”

In the replies, Good Charlotte musician Benji Madden sent his well-wishes.

He wrote: “Overjoyed by this so happy to know Man really made my day to hear this thank you for sharing bless you bro.”

Actor Adam Devine, meanwhile, wrote: “YES!!! Thank God! congrats buddy! Best feeling in the world. Enjoy it!!!”

DJ Samantha Ronson said: “F**k yes!!! I don’t even know you and this made MY day!!! Awesome!!!”

Last month, Hoppus posted pictures of his head, after losing his hair during chemotherapy.

In one image, he wrote: “This is the top of my head right now. This is what God sees when He looks down upon His work and despairs. Cancer-ass head trying to grow back some hair. Awww. Poor little head. Keep you chin up, fighter.”

In a later post, he showed more of his hair growth and said: “It’s so strange to have hair growing back more on my head while my leg hair continues to fall out further and further down, now at the bottom of my shins.”
