Cher asks Leo Varadkar to support a climate change bill going to the Dáil today

Jade Hayden

Yes, you did read that correctly.

Cher is quite vocal on Twitter dot com.

Everybody is aware of this, it is not a surprise to anyone.

The iconic singer has had an opinion on everything from Trump to the state of the environment, to Trump to the wearing of real fur to Trump.

The list goes on.

That’s why when Green Party researcher, Sinéad Mercier, asked Cher for her support regarding a bill about climate change, it’s not really all that surprising that Cher had an input.

That input also involved asking Leo Varadkar for his support on the bill too.

Truly iconic.

Mercier’s tweet read:

Not only did Cher retweet the tweet, but she also responded to it saying: “#HELLTOTHEYES.”

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – a literal icon.

The bill in question is the Climate Energy Measures Bill 2018 and it’s looking to ban the future exploration for fossil fuels, oil, gas, and petrol in Ireland.

The bill suggests that instead, we should move towards renewable energy sources that won’t destroy the environment and will stop offshore drilling.

Cher has been well-known in the past for her discussions of environmentalism on Twitter and elsewhere.

The bill is to be voted on today.
