Comedian Jason Manford has lent his support to the Yes campaign in Ireland ahead of the Marriage Referendum, posting a message to his Facebook page denouncing the No posters.
Sharing a screengrab of one of the common platform messages the No campaign are pushing, Manford dismissed the argument that every child needs to be raised by a heterosexual couple with one post:
The person who designed this poster had a mother and a father and look how much of an ignorant prick they turned out to be!#voteyesireland#childrendeservelove

The comedian urged fans to vote yes on May 22nd.
The post has since received more than 50,000 Facebook likes supporting his stance on the upcoming referendum.
