Faye Winter’s anxiety makes it difficult for her to leave home on her own

“I wouldn’t go out in public on my own.”

Love Island star Faye Winter admitted that life has been a little bit harder lately as she has been really struggling with her anxiety.

Saying that she “couldn’t leave the house” due to her battle with anxiety and it was her five-month-old puppy Bonnie that pulled her out of a difficult time.

Speaking to The Sun, the 27 year old said: “I’ve got really bad with my anxiety, social anxiety, and social situations. There was a point, and there is still a point, that I wouldn’t go out in public on my own. I actually wasn’t leaving my house at one point.

“I still won’t go to B&M or Home Bargains or Tesco on my own. I don’t do that, but I’ll take Bonnie out for a walk. We don’t give our animals enough credit for that because without her, I wouldn’t be doing that.”

“I would literally be sat inside four walls all day, looking at social media… judging myself, because I’m my own biggest critic.”

Crediting her dog for getting her out of such a dark place, Faye said that she’s thankfully on the other side of it now.

Faye recently spoke about how she feels she is failing as an influencer, due to the kind of content she wants to create.

In a post shared recently, Faye posed with her new dog Bonnie on the beach, and told her fans that she sometimes feels like she often feels like she doesn’t fit in.

She wrote: “I want you to know that we all feel like we don’t fit in at times and we have to stop trying to compare ourselves to others, as you all know I’ve been really struggling with social, with the thought of constantly having new outfits and being in fancy places to try and keep up my engagement when that’s really not me as a person but worried that’s what everyone wants to see.”

Faye went on to explain that she prefers homely comforts as opposed to glamorous nights out, and practical outfits instead of designer looks.
