The royal family are no strangers to complicated relationships.
While it’s been frowned upon to be divorced in the royal family, Princess Andrew and Sarah Ferguson have divorced, as well as Prince Charles and Princess Diana.
Meghan Markle has been the latest divorcee to join the royal family – and now it seems like Princes Beatrice’s new boyfriend suddenly split from his partner right before confirmed his relationship with the princess.
According to the Daily Mail, Beatrice unveiled Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi to her parents as her boyfriend just before Christmas and it shocked the entire family.
Edo’s, as he is known, family and the royals have been close for years, and it’s reported that nobody saw the relationship coming. However, Beatrice and Edo were spotted on holiday on a remote island off Kenya in recent days, taking strolls along the beach and looking very happy altogether.

Beatrice’s mother doesn’t seem too bothered by all the drama though, as a friend said: “How sweet it is that two families who have known each other for so many years can think that something permanent might come of this.”
Edo shares a two-year-old son, Christopher Wolf, with Chinese-American Dara Huang, who he lived with in London.
