George Clooney has admitted why he hasn't been acting as much
And no, it's not because he's too busy juggling fatherhood and his career.
George Clooney is a fantastic actor.
This we know.
He's blown us away in his performances in Oceans Eleven, Oceans Twelve, and Oceans Thirteen.
He's also been in some other movies, probably, but the above are the most important ones.
Eagle-eyed fans may have noticed, though, that George hasn't been as present on the big screen as he used to be.
He told the Sunday Times Culture magazine why that is.
"Look, I acted for a long time and, you know, I’m 56. I’m not the guy that gets the girl anymore. I shouldn’t be the guy that gets the girl.
"But, look, if somebody’s got Paul Newman in The Verdict, I’d jump. But there aren’t that many like that.
"Acting used to be how I paid the rent, but I sold a tequila company for a billion fucking dollars. I don’t need money."
We're not going to lie, George, if we made a billion dollars and our jobs started to dry up too, we wouldn't be all that upset either.
The new dad hasn't entirely stepped away from the movie business altogether though.
Rather, he's trying his hand at directing and producing instead.
His new film, Suburbicon, is coming out this month.
It tells the disturbing story of a suburban family living their peaceful suburban lives before something happens and their entire existence gets turned upside down.
