Gotta make them gains, bro.

Hugh Jackman is great.

He’s fun. He’s a good actor. He’s a great singer. He seems like a nice man.

Hugh has done a lot of good things during his career, but for some reason none of them have garnered him the sheer popularity and praise that The Greatest Showman did.

People loved that film. Like, adored it. Like, were so obsessed with it that the songs from the soundtrack were still in the charts well over a year after the film had dropped in cinemas.

It was such a hit that Hugh even got himself a world tour out of it. It’s called The Man. The Music. The Show, and in it he’ll be singing hit songs from The Greatest Showman, Les Miserables – as well as more from Broadway and film.

He’ll also be accompanied by a live orchestra so, you know, pulling out all the stops.

Hugh is currently on his way to Dublin for the first of three sold out shows in the 3Arena. And he is, of course, hitting the gym on what we can only presume is the ferry.

G’wan.

Hugh shared the above to his Instagram this afternoon, no doubt in the knowledge that it would get everybody absolutely pumped for his arrival and subsequent three shows tomorrow and Friday.

And it has too. It really has.

Jackman garnered his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his performance in Tom Hooper’s Les Misérables, based on the popular stage show created from Victor Hugo’s famous novel of the same name.

His standout performance as protagonist Jean Valjean also earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical, as well as Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award nominations, for both Best Ensemble and Best Male Actor in a Leading Role, and a BAFTA Award nomination.

He was also recently nominated for his role as P.T. Barnum in The Greatest Showman.

Some lad.
