Meeting a guy’s mother can be a nerve-wracking experience and one that is best kept for the more serious of relationships.
However, Jake Gyllenhaal told Ellen DeGeneres this week that he like to throw his ladies in at the deep end… by choosing his mother’s house as the venue for the first date.
During an appearance on the popular presenter’s show, the Southpaw actor said that he values his mother’s opinion so much that he would trust her to set him up with a potential girlfriend.
“My mother believes she thinks arranged marriages might be able to work. She thinks that if she picked for me, that I’d do a lot better.”
The 34-year-old previously dated Alyssa Miller and has recently been linked to co-star Rachel McAdams but we feel that his tongue may have been firmly in his cheek when it comes to this interview!
