Speaking to Australia’s OK! Magazine, the actress said:
"I remember being told to my face that I wasn't right, that I was too fat, that my body wasn't right or that my eyebrows were too big or too hairy or whatever.
"It never really did land because I had the support of my family. I'm Latino. I have hips, I have a butt, I've got boobs and I've always sort of embraced my curves.
"In fact, I've always looked up to women who are a bit more voluptuous and admired people who are comfortable in their own bodies."
The actress, who has become a firm favourite on the show, is now planning on concentrating on her acting career for the foreseeable future: "I'm really enjoying where I'm at right now and I've signed on for a little while, so I'm just stoked. "It's been great, a lot of fun. Quite the juggling act with commuting back and forth, but everyone has been super-supportive and encouraging. It's such a great team of people that I work with."
