It’s fair to say that we’ve reached peak #RoyalBabyWatch, with half of the country glued to Twitter for news of William and Kate’s new arrival.
The couple have previously confirmed that their happy news will be announced via the Kensington Palace Twitter account but whoever was manning the profile obviously decided to have a bit of a laugh with followers earlier today, posting this very teasing tweet.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge introduce their son Prince George to the world for the 1st time #ThrowbackThursday pic.twitter.com/MtGAZWKpr3

The tweet was mistaken by many to be the announcement of William and Kate’s second child and people were not happy once they realised the truth!
@KensingtonRoyal Are you trying to be funny?!?!?!??!
