This is pretty sweet.
Tonight is the long-awaited final of Love Island, and while the Islanders will be sharing the declarations of love to each other, Laura Whitmore has been writing her own declaration of love to her boyfriend, Iain Stirling.
Taking to Instagram, Laura shared a picture of them together on holiday with Iain wearing a sailor’s hat. She said: “1 more sleep! I’m super proud of this guy, he works so hard and so many days being away from home can be tough.
“Enjoy the finale you lovely, smart, funny and handsome man. Hurry up and come home! Thanks x.”
Iain has been working behind the scenes on Love Island as the voice over guy for eight weeks now, so we’re sure Laura is missing him massively.
She recently opened up about trying to keep their relationship private when the first started dating last year.
She told Fabulous magazine: “We tried to keep it as quiet as possible at the start.
“I remember going to Majorca last year and not telling anyone, even though I know most of the crew.
“If anyone had seen me they’d be like, ‘What the hell is Laura doing here?’
“I thought nobody knew, but it turned out everyone did. At the time I was like, ‘We totally got away with that’.”
