She was axed from Saturday Night Takeaway for obvious reasons.
According to reports, Lisa Armstrong has landed herself a new job after she was axed from Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
The makeup artist has apparently been given a new role on Stephen Mulhern’s latest project called In For A Penny.
Stephen is a friend and colleague of Ant’s, however the new show is taking place in Cardiff, away from where Ant will be going back to work.
A source told The Mirror: “Lisa has been taking a much-needed break in LA but it’s time to get back to work. She’s been with good friend Stephen Mulhern all week working on In For A Penny.
“Her pals are a little surprised she’s returned to the show given that it’s Ant and Dec’s production company that makes it.”
Another source told The Sun: “Producers just felt having her back this year would be awkward. She works with Stephen a lot and they’re close, just as he’s close with Ant and Dec.
“But because of the set-up at the studios it would be impossible for Lisa and Ant to avoid spending lots of time in the same room.”
It seems like Lisa will also be going back to Strictly Come Dancing when it begins in September. She is head makeup artist for the show and sources believe she will return to the show as normal.
