According to The Sun, the BBC star, who has fronted the popular business show since 2005, has already been in talks with the show’s creator Mark Burnett.
A source told the newspaper:
“The fact that Sugar has a pretty bad relationship with Trump would make landing his old job all the more sweet.
“Lord Sugar is not that famous in the States but he has had some massive spats with Piers Morgan on Twitter, so people are aware of him.”
Fans of the BBC show don’t need to worry though, as Lord Sugar has apparently told bosses he is loyal to his UK audience and won’t film the US show to clash with the London boardroom antics.
