He may be the head of a global company, but this week Richard Branson took time out of his hectic schedule to reply to a nine-year old girl with dyslexia.
Honor Smith decided to write to the businessman after she watched a video on his blog encouraging others to view people with dyslexia in a positive light.
The nine-year old school girl was so moved by the post, that she decided to write to Branson to express her gratitude:
Love receiving letters. Here’s what I wrote back to a 9 year old living with dyslexia: http://t.co/oMN0vEu0Hi pic.twitter.com/Hsyyra9UMs

Moved by the letter, and it’s contents, Richard decided to sit down and respond in person. Having battled dyslexia himself, Branson had a pretty strong message for the little girl:
My advice for dyslexics? Turn a negative into a positive: http://t.co/oMN0vEu0Hi http://t.co/UJIScRrZkG pic.twitter.com/dgPjEspB6N — Richard Branson (@richardbranson) June 12, 2015
The note reads:
‘Dear Honor,
Thanks for your delightful letter. It is so nice to receive a handwritten note that I thought I’d write one back! Also so glad to hear you enjoyed the videos.
Don’t ever let people put you down for being dyslexic. Being dyslexic is actually an advantage and has helped me greatly in life.
I look forward to hearing what great things you’ve achieved in life.
Best wishes to you and the family.
Much love, Richard Branson’
Talk about an endorsement!
