The Queen is looking to hire a horsegirl to look after her horses in Buckingham Palace

Jade Hayden

Or horseboy, whichever.

Have you ever wanted to be in close proximity to some horses?

What about being in close proximity to some horses while also being in close proximity to The Queen?

What about being in close proximity to some horses while also being in close proximity to The Queen while also living in Buckingham Palace?

Course you have. Every girl’s dream, clearly.

And if any of the above are at all accurate, then you’re in luck because The Actual Queen is hiring herself a ‘Liveried Helper’ to look after her horses in the stables at the palace.

And you’ll get paid and all for it. How nice of her.

Whoever nabs the job will be looking after and training the horses daily, cleaning the stables, and even taking part in ceremonial events with the horses.

According to the job spec, applicants should have “a passion for horses and experience of working in a yard, you’re ready to take your career to the next level.”

They should also be “an outstanding team player and proficient in all aspects of stable management” and a “confident rider.”

Indeed.

The vacancy is closing next week with interviews taking place towards the end of the month – so if you fancy yourself £22,400 per annum (plus 15 percent non-contributory pension and benefits), then away you go.

Accommodation is provided for, but there will be a salary abatement.

Because of course there will.
