Rebel Wilson’s BAFTA Speech Stole The Show Last Night

Cassie Delaney

Never one to shy away from controversy, Rebel Wilson, opened her BAFTAs speech with the fact that the Oscars are racist.

The actress was there to present the best support actor award and seemed delighted to be the one that would get to “congratulate” the winner and “console” the four losers.

Reading one line at a time from a sheet, Rebel talked about her own desires to win a BAFTA.

“the BAFTAs have diverse members. And that’s what we all want to see in life, isn’t it? Diverse members. One day, I hope to return here to win a BAFTA myself. I have already been practicing my transgendered face.”

Rebel began actually delivering the award but stopped briefly, distracted by Idris Elba’s presence.

“I’m sociologically programmed to want chocolate on Valentine’s Day,” she said.
