Today FM has just confirmed that KC, Keith Cunningham is set to leave his lunchtime slot on the national radio station.
Having a family at home in Crosshaven,Cork and a daily commute to Dublin meant the radio pro has made the decision to give up his popular show.
Keith joined the national broadcaster in 2010 with a night-time show and in November 2012 he started presenting
The KC Show during the coveted lunch-time slot.
The KC Show gave its 130,000 listeners a mix of music, films, specific features, special guests and most importantly fun.
Cork's Red FM, where Keith previously worked, will welcome him back to the airwaves in April.

The DJ has released a statement which explains his reasons for leaving
Today FM in a very touching manner.
“I’ve being commuting from my home in Cork to Dublin every week for over three years now and being away from my two baby daughters and my fiancée Rachel so much, was getting far too difficult. I’m leaving my dream gig for my dream family, I think most people would do the same.
Today FM has been the most incredible radio station to work for. Being on a daytime schedule with Ian Dempsey, Ray D’Arcy, Tony Fenton and Matt Copper has being amazing. I’m returning to Cork to take up a new radio presenter and management role, and to be a professional Daddy.”
Today FM’s CEO, Peter McPartlin wished KC well on this new venture, “I would like to thank KC for his fantastic contribution to Today FM’s dynamic programming and wish him the very best. We will miss his enthusiasm, generosity, talent and infectious personality.”
Today FM have not yet announced who will replace KC but there already a few names in the mix.
Paddy Power has opened bets on who will take over the much sought after lunch time slot, Republic of Telly presenter Dermot Whelan is 4/1 favourite to fill the role with former
2FM breakfast man Hector Ó’hEochagáin considered his main rival at 9/2.
Morning presenter Louise Duffy is the leading lady in the betting at 7/1 with
RTÉ’s Ruth Scott also flying the female flag at 8/1.
