WATCH: The trailer for Harry Styles and Florence Pugh’s film Don’t Worry Darling is here

Ellen Fitzpatrick

Can’t wait.

If you tell us Harry Styles and Florence Pugh are going to be in a film together, you know we’re going to be obsessed before it even comes out.

The two are set to star in the upcoming movie, Don’t Worry Darling, which is set in a utopian society, and you can bet it’s going to be an eery one.

Harry and Florence play husband and wife in the thriller, which is directed by none other than Olivia Wilde, Harry’s real-life girlfriend.

And if her last film Booksmart is anything to go by, we know were in for a treat with this film.

The first trailer for the film has dropped and immediately begins to build suspense as Florence’s character begins to have doubts about her own life and is risking danger by speaking about her concerns.

Set to be released in cinemas on September 23, the synopsis reads: “A 1950s housewife (Pugh) living with her husband (Styles) in a utopian experimental community begins to worry that his glamorous company may be hiding disturbing secrets.”

Said to be “set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert”, Harry is the “picture-perfect husband, who loves her [Florence’s character] dearly, but is hiding a dark secret from her.”

While the trailer starts out like any typical one set in the 50s, with a picture perfect life in a stereotypical era, things take a sudden and dark turn.

Questioning what the “Victory Project” they all support actually is, one clip shows a woman knocking her head against glass while another shows her face covered in cling film and her being chased by men in red suits.

Another scene shows Harry screaming in a car after Florence speaks publically about her worries, including in front of Chris Pine’s character who seems to be the leader of all of this.

Other than Harry, Florence and Chris, the film also stars other big names like Gemma Chan, Nick Kroll and KiKi Layne.
