Cath appeared in today’s episode, but had passed away after recording.
Ben Shephard, the host of Tipping Point, has paid tribute to a contestant who passed away before her episode aired.
Cath from Bolton appeared in today’s (Wednesday, May 4) episode, but she sadly died after recording.
Ben informed viewers of Cath’s death on Twitter.
“Today’s Tipping Point is a poignant one,” he wrote.
“Since recording the show, lovely contestant Cath, pictured backstage here, has passed away. Our thoughts and love are with her family and friends.”

The show’s official Facebook page also issued a statement regarding Cath’s passing.
It read: “After the recording of today’s programme, we spoke with Cath’s family who shared the sad news of Cath’s passing.
“Everyone at Tipping Point would like to extend their sincerest sympathies.”
Fans, likewise, paid their respects to Cath on social media.
One wrote: “It’s always sad to hear of someone’s passing when they have been on the show. So sad for the family, RIP. (….) Thank you Tipping Point for informing us.”
Another shared: “Very caring Ben. Sorry to hear the sad news and my thoughts go out to her family.”
A third viewer tweeted: “Ah that is sad, thinking of her loved ones.”
Tipping Point airs every weekday at 4pm on ITV.
