Coronation Street issues statement on Adam Barlow’s fate after he ‘exits’ Weatherfield

Keeley Ryan

Phew.

He may have left the cobbles last night, but it looks like Adam Barlow won’t be gone for too long – at least, according to Coronation Street‘s official Twitter account.

The solicitor left Weatherfield on February 1 after he was caught up in some major drama between Sarah Platt and Gary Windass.

Recent scenes saw Adam invite Sarah over to his flat and make a move on her. The evening had a serious impact on her relationship with Gary – especially after Seb Franklin spotted her arguing with Adam in the street.

There’s a whole lot more drama, which is basically sparked when Gary fires Seb from the builders yard and leads him to tell his former boss about Sarah and Adam.

After Seb dropped the bombshell, Daniel Osbourne found Adam with his bags packed at the flat.

He explains to his uncle that he needs a change of scenery and is going to be headed travelling for a couple of months, before exiting  in a taxi.

Fans were gutted over seeing him leave, with many concerned viewers taking to Twitter to ask whether or not he’d be back.

Thankfully, Coronation Street’s official Twitter account has assured fans he’ll only be gone “for a little bit”.

They wrote:

“He’s only going away for a little bit – we’ll see Adam again soon x.”

Guess that settles it, so.
