Fans of the iconic comedy-drama, which originally aired in 2004, may soon find themselves once again immersed in the lives of their favourite characters.
Speculation about a reboot gained traction after actor Jesse Metcalfe - known for his portrayal of the charming "hot gardener" John Rowland - said that discussions regarding a revival were underway.
"I can certainly see that happening and I’d be open to it," Metcalfe revealed to The Sun.
"There’s definitely been discussions."
Metcalfe's comments have sparked excitement among fans who are longing for a return to the mysterious and entertaining world of Wisteria Lane.
The original series, which boasted a star-studded cast including Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher, and Marcia Cross, captivated audiences with its gripping storylines and memorable characters.
Eva Longoria, who portrayed the glamorous Gabrielle Solis, expressed her eagerness to reprise her role in a potential reboot.
"I miss Gaby so much. I miss being Gaby Solis," she shared last year.
Longoria even speculated about how her character would navigate the world nowadays and said envisioned her as a social media influencer and mogul.
The prospect of a Desperate Housewives revival has reignited nostalgia among fans who fondly remember the original series as a cult favourite of the noughties era.
