It’s already caused a lot of controversy among viewers.
But Emmerdale fans were left feeling sickened last night as the storyline between teenager Jacob Gallagher and Maya Stepney, his teacher and his stepdad’s girlfriend, continued.
It all began when Jacob’s lies about dating – and sleeping with – Liv Flaherty were exposed, leading her to confront him about his lies and (rightfully) chew him out.
And then, after a massive row between Jacob and his stepdad, David, Maya offered to talk to the teenager one-on-one. He admitted to her that he had lied about his relationship with Liv to make her jealous, before Maya admitted she was flattered.
However, she adds, nothing can happen between them as she is David’s girlfriend. She goes in to hug him – and she ended up kissing him.
Maya quickly regretted it and rushed out of the room, but it looks like it left Jacob in more of a confused place than ever.
And viewers were absolutely furious.

Jacob’s adopted dad (and Maya’s boyfriend), David Metcalfe, is still totally in the dark about what has been going on.
Although, we’d imagine that will be coming to a head pretty soon – especially with the holidays just around the corner.
