The second season of The While Lotus has landed and while it came with a devastating death, fans are dying to know what happens next. With the fantastic news that the Sky series will be producing a third season, it might take us a while to get over that many twists and turns. So what do we know about the third season of The White Lotus? Similar to the last two seasons, the next will be set in a stunning location within the hotel group's chain. With the first in Hawaii, the second in Sicily, we can only assume the third will be somewhere just as glamorous. And from Daphne's toast in the finale, where she said: "Next year, the Maldives!", we could be in for a real treat. Show writer Mike White told Deadline in October this year: "You know, we did Europe, and maybe Asia, something like that, that would be fun!" As any fan knows, the first season focused on money while the second was all about sex, but the third? Rumour has it that "death and Eastern religion and spirituality" is on the cards. When it comes to the cast, Jennifer Coolidge and Jon Gries were the only two to be in both seasons and if we can tell one thing by past seasons, it looks like an entirely new cast could come along. Now that it's up in the air about the originals, executive producer Mike White hasn't ruled out these characters from making an appearance in upcoming seasons. "There are so many fun actors that we've working with before, so it's just kind of like who's available," he told Deadline. Nothing regarding filming for the third season or release date has been announced yet, which is fair considering we only just got the second. But looking at the previous seasons and when they were released, we could be waiting until 2024 until we see another.
