The first images from Coleen Rooney’s new docu-series about the Wagatha Christie legal battle have been released by Disney+.

In a first look at the show, Coleen Rooney, wife of football star Wayne Rooney is seen sitting in a courtroom setting with a notebook in front of her.

The series will give viewers an inside look at the ‘real’ story and key characters who were involved in the infamous case.

It’s understood that Coleen will be fronting the documentary alongside her family and friends.

Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story will go into how Rooney went about finding an explanation for why private stories about her and her family were constantly appearing in the tabloid news.

It will look at all angles of the viral social media post which detailed a months-long “sting operation” carried out by Coleen.

In the post, she accused Rebekah Vardy – Jamie Vardy’s wife – of leaking “false stories” about her private life to the press.

When the libel trial got underway, it gripped millions of spectators last summer across Ireland, the UK and farther afield.

Vardy lost the battle against Rooney over the post, after a High Court judge found it was “substantially true”.

Her sleuthing plans saw Rooney dubbed “Wagatha Christie” in reference to the popular mystery writer.

Outside of the court case, the three-part series will also give fans a look into how Rooney’s life, and marriage to footballer Wayne Rooney, has played out in public for the last 20 years.

The Disney+ documentary has yet to be given an air date, so we’ll be impatiently waiting for that!!
