Becoming famous and then having your old 3am texts come back to bite you - that's the ultimate fear, right?

Going into the Love Island villa at this stage in the game was never going to be easy. Now that all of the Islanders' characters are already firmly established with the public and our winners have practically been crowned, the best a latecomer like Idris could hope for would be to have a nice time frolicking in the sun, possibly couple up with someone and maybe come home to a few thousand more Instagram followers. He might have gotten more than he bargained for, though. A Love Island viewer has come forward with what look like unsolicited texts that Idris sent her very late one night back in 2013. Twitter user Sophie Robinson posted screenshots of the messages she says he sent her - and they probably don't reflect the 25-year-old's best self.

In just a few messages, the sender:

• tells Sophie that she isn't just talking to "any guy"
• admits to being guilty of "miss typing"
• tells her he's not interested in whether or not Sophie has a boyfriend
• calls her "babe"

Now, it goes without saying that we have no way of knowing whether the texts were sent by Idris - our Idris, who did a scarily good job of carrying out a sexy fireman-themed rescue mission on last night's episode. Those messages are a little creepy and pretty sad so we're really hoping that Sophie is mistaken.
