The game show hasn't been on air since 2001.

Graham Norton is a busy man. On top of his own very popular talk show, he's also got his radio show, his Drag Race show judging, his novels, his wine brand, his annual hosting of the Eurovision, and his upcoming Irish comedy show, he has just announced another huge addition to his CV. Norton will be the host of the new version of Wheel Of Fortune, which originally ran from 1988 to 2001, with previous hosts including Nicky Campbell, John Leslie and Bradley Walsh.

For those who might not know/remember, the game show basically consists of spinning a big wheel, landing on a cash prize amount, and then picking a letter to solve a word puzzle. The big hurdles arrived if your spin of the wheel landed on Lose A Turn or, for the love of God no!, landing on Bankrupt. Of the new gig, Graham Norton said:

"I’m beyond excited to be bringing such an iconic American show to a new British audience. My first ever TV job was a game show on ITV so this feels like coming full circle. You might even call it a wheel!"

The new episodes, which will include some celebrity specials, are set to air on ITV and ITVX in 2024. https://twitter.com/itvpresscentre/status/1673753510393831426 It has also been an oddly busy week for all things Wheel Of Fortune, as the US version of the show has announced that Ryan Seacrest will take over as host for that version. Current host Pat Sajak will retire from the position this year, having hosted the game show since 1981, for which he was recognised by the Guinness World Records for having the longest career as a game show host for the same show.
