Those familiar with the Tiger King series will know that Baskin and Joe Exotic have a long running feud concerning each other's zoos and their own personal treatment of animals.
Exotic's hatred of Baskin runs so deep that he devised a plan to redirect all her website traffic to himself, performed many, many songs about her, and also accused her - multiple times - of killing her ex-husband, sending his body through a meat grinder, and feeding his remains to tigers.
Still with us? Good.
Baskin has, understandably, entirely refuted any of these claims and seeing as there doesn't seem to be any hard evidence suggesting that she did have a hand in Don's disappearance, we do have to give her the benefit of the doubt.
That doesn't mean that we can't enjoy the chaos of this new documentary series though.
“Love her or hate her, Carole is now in the center ring of the big cat circus," reads ID's press release.
"Is she a selfless crusader and protector of animals, who found unimaginable strength despite the mysterious disappearance of her husband? Or are we witnessing Carole Baskin’s master plan finally take effect?
"Despite her claims of innocence, did she orchestrate the disappearance of Don Lewis to seize control of his fortune, consolidate power and lay waste to her foes? No one seems to be talking – except for one man – and that man is the center of ID’s upcoming investigative series."
This man is, obviously, Joe Exotic himself. And if we know one thing about Joe Exotic it's that he has a fair few theories about what Baskin did or didn't do to her husband - and he isn't afraid to talk about them.
They're blatantly untrue, like. But sure look.Explore more on these topics:
